One of the skills you must learn that is very relevant now is Selling Skills, this skills helped a lot of company during Lock-down beyond imagination including my organisation...

If you look around all over the internet, there is just one thing that is common, everyone is trying to sell or is selling something either themselves, a product or service. If you want to make more money either as an individual or a distinct entity, you have to learn how to sell yourself, product or service.

If you are having problem selling either online or offline you must have been omitting either one or two of this 4 models

The AIDA MODEL OF SELLING

A -----Attention Money Follows attention, If you are able to generate positive attention especially online you become an influencer or a celebrity, gone are the days you become a celebrity offline first then people start following you online, in this period you can become a celeb or an influencer online and people will be happy to meet you offline..

The first is the attention and one of the ways to get people's attention especially when you want to call them or when you are speaking to them offline is to ask them questions or present idea that is aimed at specific benefits that your prospect will like or a specific need that your customer wants, your question can be centered around a specific need or benefit that your product and service can offer.

So if you want to get attention or if you want to sell to people you must be able to grab the attention and one of the ways to grab people's attention online is to be consistent your with your niche information.

When you go for training or speaking engagement with the end goal of selling your service, as soon as you are about to speak your first 5 seconds or eight seconds matters a lot, this will determine whether people will be glued to what you want to say all through so you want to grab their attention by asking a question like: do you know that a lot of people are making close to a hundred million naira on a monthly basis?

Smiles their ear will be opened immediately or you ask another question like: do you know that 10 or 5 million people die every month because of lack of so so so.... that grabs attention or you can give them the benefit of what you have to offer.

The main purpose of grabbing attention is to cut them off from their pre-occupation, you want to get them to listen to you.

This next model is to arise your prospect interest.
We talked about attention especially when it's online you want to appear daily online, let your intended buyers know you are good in your niche, take for instance Jumia Ng you will always see them daily...

You can raise your prospect interest by showing them your product features and service take for instance Apple phone, when the new phones are brought out to the market they begin to show people their updated features like how beautiful the phone is, how Slim, waterproof, the quality camera, how beautiful it is when handling the iPhone this show you different features of the phone, they are just trying to arouse the interest of buyers.

Let's take Tesla for another instance, once they want to push out their new cars to the market, an event will be created to show the different features of the car like the speed of the car, how beautiful and classic it is.

So you need to show your prospect the feature of what you have to offer, if your prospect now understand the features of your product or service and trust them. Then the next phase:


D------ DESIRE:

This is to increase their desire to get your product because interest alone might not convert to sales you need to arouse their desire to buy your product and how do you increase their desire? You increase their desire by telling them what your product can do for them how your product can transform their lives how it can get them what they want. The benefits
And remember that your ability to think through and determine the real benefits of your product and be able to communicate it to your prospective customer to buy is the most important part of selling.


your job is to find a student or prospects who interestingly desires those benefits. Sometimes there are some prospects who do not even desire your product benefit and that is when you know if you have been talking to the Right audience.
Increasing attention makes the Right audience come to you when you tell them the features of your product this increases their interest and when you talk about the benefit of your product, it gives them the desire to buying your product.


The next phase is the last model of selling and that is:
A------- Action. This is the part of the process where you ask your prospect to make a definite buying decision and to add, to take action to your offer.
This is where you close your sales by telling them to take action.
Note: This AIDA model of selling does not necessarily have to be done in a single day, the most important thing is to get each stage right before moving to the next step.
Which is to first grab your prospect attention, the second phase is to increase their interest by showing them your product features, the third step is to increase their Desire by telling them the benefits and then to take action.
You can also raise the buying decision Faster by telling testimonials or showing the testimonials of those that have taken action and their result.I learned all these models from Brian Tracy ....
